The IC697CPU789 module is a CPU module with Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) support. The IC697CPU789 module supports RAM that is expandable to 512 KB.

The GE Fanuc IC697CPU789 module is a 32-bit expandable Central Processing Unit (CPU) for the IC66 TMR (Triple Modular Redundancy) systems. The single-slot IC697CPU789 module supports 512 KB of battery-backed expansion memory in the same slot. Out of the 512 KB of memory, a maximum of 200 KB is available for the user’s application programs and data. The IC697CPU789 module supports up to 12,000 discrete inputs/outputs in any mix in the simplex mode, 2048 voted discrete inputs, and 2048 voted discrete outputs. The module further supports 8000 analog inputs in the simplex mode, 8000 analog outputs in the simplex mode, and 1024 voted analog inputs. The IC697CPU789 module has the 80386DX processor with 16 megahertz of clocked speed.
